About Us

The awakening started with a cruise and a networking event.

I have been an information technology professional for most of my life. Tech is a career path that is fraught with burnout from long hours and stress.

I was in a sales training seminar when the trainer issued a challenge. He challenged us to get out of our comfort zone and grow- especially if we were unhappy. I immediately flashed back to my cruise and the feeling of peace and relaxation that I had over those few days. For the first time, I had learned what it was like truly being on vacation.

Right then I knew that I wanted to help other people have those same feelings of relaxing with friends and family.

I spent the next couple of months figuring out how to do that.

I had experienced the lack of joy in vacations. Vacations were often just being “away” from the office. Never getting to truly relax and unwind.
I got to experience that feeling firsthand as I looked out at the ocean from the top deck of a cruise ship.
