Addresses the needs of the poor in our communities by working directly with individuals and their families to identify and provide support for current setbacks and develop plans to aid in systemic change; participates in community outreach activities in order to share information on all of the services provided by Sacred Heart Southern Missions.  Requirements include:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Social work or equivalent in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

•  A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a helping profession, preferably in social work, counseling or similar field. 

•  Must possess valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation

•  Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication and decision-making skills; ability to intervene quickly and effectively within a crisis intervention situation.

•  Computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

•  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and establish/meet deadlines.

•  Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and inform leadership of essential information within a timely manner.

•  Bilingual a plus

•. Regular business hours, though some evening and weekend work as required. Occasional travel to meet clients.
