Vitalant Blood Drive, 10:00AM - 1:30PM, Southaven Chamber of Commerce, 500 Main Street, Southaven, MS 38671: We are excited to host a blood drive through Vitalant! They will have their bloodmobile here in our parking lot to donate blood.

The mid-south area is currently experiencing a most critical level blood shortage. Southaven Chamber will be hosting a lifesaving community blood drive, to help address our local critical level blood shortage. Yes, due to the pandemic many things have changed.  However; the need to save the lives of our cancer, premature babies, sickle cell, organ transplant, trauma victim patients and others has not changed – these patients’ survival can be totally linked to having the needed blood on reserve, when called for.  This needed reserve can only be obtained from volunteer blood donations that come from our family members, friends, co-workers and others!
Every 2 seconds, someone needs blood. Most of us will need blood in our lifetime. If you would want the blood to be there in your time of need, then please come out and help save the lives, of those currently in need.
 
***Please note there are NO RESTRICTIONS to donating blood if you’ve taken or preparing to take the COVID-19 VACCINATION.***
All unvaccinated donors are still required to bring and wear a face covering while in the donation area. This face covering must cover both the nose and mouth.  We also ask that you drink plenty of water, eat a hearty meal prior to donating and bring your photo ID.
