Regulating the ADAAA
Description
You are cordially invited to join Baker Donelson attorneys Robert Williams and Brent Siler, along with special guest Deidre Smith, Senior Trial Attorney for the EEOC, for a complimentary full breakfast and a robust round table discussion on the upcoming final ADAAA regulations and what they mean to you.
The Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAAA) took effect in January 2009, expanding its coverage and making it easier for employees to seek relief, including being able to request "reasonable accommodations" for a broadened definition of what constitutes a disability. Employers should be aware of the ADAAA’s potential implications in today’s litigious environment. This July, the EEOC’s final ADAAA regulations are due to be released.
