Make-A-Wish Mid-South invites all to join in the first-ever Walk For Wishes, a community-wide celebration of the organization’s mission and local wish granting efforts. The event joins wish kids and their friends, families and supporters to raise money for wishes of local kids. Join us for the free family-friendly event featuring free food, touch a truck, a wish world carnival, Santa Claus, glow sticks, face painting station and more! Participants can sign-up and create a walk team at www.WalkForWishesMidsouth.org.
Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Each year, Make-A-Wish Mid-South fulfills the wishes of more than 275 children across the Mid-South. Founded in 1986, the Mid-South chapter has granted more than 5,275 wishes since its inception. The average cost of a wish is more than $8,000, and the organization relies solely on fundraisers, corporate support and donations from the public to bring hope, strength and joy to families who need it most.
