Job Description
Family advocates play a critical role in in all child abuse cases referred to Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center to ensure children are receiving trauma-informed, evidence-based services and other resources they and their families need.  Family Advocates know their communities and all the resources to assist families from the beginning of an allegation through the case closure and beyond.  Family Advocates often provide support services/referrals, crisis intervention, needs and trauma specific assessments, resources and any other services the family may need.   

Qualifications: a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently and as a member of the multidisciplinary team, and the ability to work effectively in complicated and/or crisis situations. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.    The position is 40 hours per week with some travel required.
