Construction Manager

Job Description
The Construction Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to obtain and succesfully execute reconstruction projects.  They are responsible for ensuring a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in reconstruction services.

Primary Roles and Responsibilites

  Project Initiation
  • Evaluate and sell projects.
  • Educate customers on reconstruction process.
  Project Planning
  • Identify and document project scope of work.
  • Prepare and review estimates.
  • Obtain customer and client agreement on scope and estimate.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets.
Project Execution
  • Create project schedule and timeline.
  • Identify and qualify subcontractors and resource providers.
  • Negotiate terms and set expectations.
  • Plan, organize, and manage crews and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes and requirements of the scope of work
Customer Satisfaction
  • Be responsible for customer service and management of the customer experience.
  • Compile and resolve punch list items.
  • Perform final walk-through with customer.
  • Secure a signed Cerificate of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
Necessary Experience and Skill Set
  • Experience in dealing with insurance companies and adjusters is preferred.
  • Superb customer service track record.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Experience in restoration and/or construction is preferred.
  • Experience in using Xactimate is required.
Formal Education/Training
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) cerification preferred
