DESCRIPTION:2026 Fall Cleanup: Oct. 11-19 DeSoto County's 2026 Fall Cleanup will take place October 11-19. Dumpsters will be available at designated locations throughout the county for things such as bulky household items and yard waste that may not be collected during regular garbage pickup. Please remember that certain items CANNOT be placed in the dumpsters\, including tires\, paint\, oil\, electronics\, batteries\, and household chemicals. Residents are encouraged to review the Fall Cleanup information below for a complete list of accepted and non-accepted items and dumpster locations. DeSoto County Environmental Services also offers year-round recycling and drop-off options for several items\, including electronics\, used oil\, and waste tires. Information on recycling locations and proper disposal of paint is also provided below. Household hazardous waste can be disposed of during DeSoto County's annual Household Hazardous Waste Day\, held in May. Event details will be announced in the spring.
