About Us

Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto
For a quarter of a century, Baptist DeSoto has given patients across northwest Mississippi a place to find quality, specialized care. Founded in 1988, we continue to be recognized for our quality outcomes. Baptist DeSoto is a 339-bed hospital that offers diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation services, as well as open-heart surgery and a number of other cardiovascular services. The American College of Cardiology has accredited Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto for its “expertise and commitment” in treating patients with chest pain, AFIB and heart failure. The hospital also offers an Intensive Cardiac Rehab program (Pritikin) for patients who have had a cardiac event.

Baptist construction is underway on a $19 million emergency department expansion and renovation project that will add 20,000 square feet to the facility.

Baptist DeSoto has been designated a Baby-Friendly Birth Facility by Baby-Friendly USA. This award recognizes our commitment to providing ‘beautiful beginnings’ for new mothers and babies. As part of this strong start, we help you and your baby bond by making sure you have the necessary information, skills, and confidence to successfully breastfeed your baby, or to safely feed your baby with formula.

With more than 1950 employees, our colleagues dedicate each day toward raising the standard in clinical excellence. It is our goal to not only treat the medical health conditions of those who entrust us with their care, but also be a trusted health care resource within the communities we serve.
