Job Description

The Engineering Coordinator will perform departmental scheduling, engineering project submittal coordination and delivery as well as other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering. The Engineering Coordinator will also perform tasks in AutoCAD and will be required to manipulate drawings and large excel files in preparation for engineering submittals.

 

 

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

1       Support the efforts of SSI to deliver to our material handling client’s submittals that are timely and       

 

      accurate.

 

2       Develop and maintain a detailed Engineering Department schedule.

 

3       Assist in the development of Company Processes and Procedures.

 

4       Follow SSI engineering processes and procedures.

 

5       Provide strong administrative skills with a commitment to meeting schedules and goals.

 

6       Manage large amounts of data input.

 

7       Read AutoCAD drawings to check against equipment manifest and spare parts list and check as-built

 

     drawings.

 

8       Demonstrate ability to lead, grow, and work with others.

 

9       Demonstrate an attitude of providing excellent customer service with all external and internal clients.

 

10  Any other tasks required to assist in ensuring a successful project.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education, Skills, and Experience

 

Minimum High School Degree; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

 

Proficiency in the following software:

 

MS Office Suite

 

Microsoft Project

 

AutoCAD (3D experience preferred)

 

Adobe or equivalent

 

Exceptional written and oral communication skills to include grammar, spelling, and proofreading.

 

Superior administrative capacity to manage multiple priorities from a variety of different internal and external clients with minimal oversight.

 

Excellent interpersonal skills with proven teamwork, participation, and a heart to serve Skilled in database management and recordkeeping.

 

Able to gather and analyze information skillfully.

 

Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

 

Dedicated to handling confidential work in a sensitive manner.

Position Information    

 

Full Time position; hourly with benefits

 

Work Schedule: 40+ hours per week. May include evenings and weekends
