Job Description

The Catering Sales Assistant must have a passion for service, excellence and people. Chick-fil-A Southaven is looking for a friendly, outgoing individual to assist with catering sales to area businesses, schools, etc. Our team works together to go above and beyond customer expectations in both food quality and service. The candidate must be responsible, trustworthy and punctual.

Essential Functions
Performs catering sales support duties and aids in managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction.
Assist Catering Director with solicitation of past and new business to ensure all catering revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
Handle accounts details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Maintains customer database, correspondence and records in the department (typing/filing).
Keeps Catering Director promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Chick-fil-A policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other Chick-fil-A employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
At all times projects a favorable image of Chick-fil-A. Knowledge of Chick-fil-A and how all departments interact.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business and meet client needs.
Communicates to the Catering Department awareness of all catering orders/events for timely prep and delivery.

Supportive Functions

In addition to performing essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:
Assist Catering Department with orders and deliveries Mon- Sat (am/pm as needed) Assist Marketing Director (RMD) with in-store and off-site events
Travel to various special events in Southaven and surrounding cities.

·          Sales experience- Preferred

  • Familiar with schools, non-profit, corporate sectors in relation to sales/catering- Plus
  • Microsoft Office

  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Team oriented, well organized, good negotiation skills, outgoing, friendly, works well with public, networks well
  • Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills, must possess a passion for people and world class service
  • Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance at all times and observes Company dress code.


Must be 18 yrs of age with Reliable transportation. Must have valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance Some evening and weekends events
Ability to access directions via map or Internet/GPS Must be proficient in general computer knowledge Must have working laptop
Working conditions- inside, outside, cold, hot, wet, dry and some inclement weather Assist with clerical work of the department, reports and special projects
